“Mobile Sabay Hair” 60-Bed Special Ward, Sisaket Hospital

Abstract

Background: The washing hair was necessary for hygiene care to comfortable of patients who can not help themselves and limited to movement. Washing hair every 3 day was policy of 60-bed special ward, but only 20 % were washed hair, result was last 3 month. Because, it takes 30 minutes for preparing and storage the equipment, two warm water pails, carry went and came to bed, splashed of water were convenient, bored and exhausted in personal, heavy lifting may cause back pain in personal. So the Mobile Sabay Hair was done.
Objective: To shortening time on preparing and storage washing hair equipment; to increase patient’s satisfaction; to increase personal’s satisfaction.
Methodology: A Quasi-experimental study, one-group, two test for compare the old and Mobile Sabay Hair. The sample were 30 patients and 8 nurse aid.
Results: shortening time on preparing and storage washing hair equipment (the old 30 min. Mobile Sabay Hair 6.33 min.) increase patient’s satisfaction (the old 66.67% Mobile Sabay Hair 98.34 %) increase personal’s satisfaction (the old 62.5% Mobile Sabay Hair 95.83 %)
Conclusions: It can convenient in work, materials were easy to find and low cost.
