Doctor v.s. Negligence

Abstract

     Doctors, especially those working in government hospital, must work really hard. They have to take on high responsibility for their patients' lives. Their duty is to examine the patients and cure them of their illness. Their work becomes harder since, nowdays, the patients' expectation of the results of their treatment is very high. Moreover, they expect to have good results of every treatment in spite of the fact that they come with different symptoms which need different kinds of treatment (some simple and some very complex) Again, they never realize the difference of the capacities of the service places they come to. (District hospitals, provincial hospital and centered hospitals have different capacities.) In fact the patients should accept the truth that doctors are just ordinary human beings; therefore errors are inevitable. They should know that doctors are paid by the government with nearly the same rate as the other officials but doctors have to do a harder, more responsible and more risky job. It has got event harder after the former government (only 30 bath for all diseases). The responsibility is high because it concerns the patients' lives, and it is risky because doctors may be sued and infected by HIV. It's high time the government seriously thought about how to help doctors (government officials) being sued like a criminal in the future.
