Factor associated with Colorectal Cancer In Bua Yai Hospital, Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Abstract

Background: Colorectal cancer is one of the five most common cancers in both males and females. In addition to genetic causes due to behavioral and lifestyles. Bua Yai Hospital has not found any reports of early colorectal cancer. The objectives of this study factors associated with colorectal cancer in Bua Yai Hospital Nakhon Ratchasima Province
Methods: Cross-sectional Descriptive study by collecting data from database of Bua Yai Hospital between July 2018 - December 2020 total of 101 people and analyzed factors associated with colorectal cancer are gender, age, family history of colorectal cancer, history of gastrointestinal symptom, body mass index, diabetes, hypertension, history of drinking and smoking history. Using analytical statistics
Results: Prevalence of colorectal cancer is29.7 percent. The data were analyzed for factors associated with colorectal cancer. It was found that males are 2.3 times more likely to develop colorectal cancer than females. Age factor between60-79 years of age, colorectal cancer are 0.3 times more likely to develop colorectal cancer than other age And history of gastrointestinal symptom are 4.6 times more likely to develop colorectal cancer than those without a history of gastrointestinal symptom.
Conclusion: The study found that gender, age and history of gastrointestinal symptom are a factor that correlates with colorectal cancer. Was statistically significant at p-value <0.05.
