Factors Associated with Learning Outcomes under Situation-based Learning among Second-year Nursing Students at a Private University in Buriram Province

Situation-Based Learning was an effective instructional approach that offers learners opportunities to engage in learning and problem-solving. The objective of this study was to examine factors related to learning outcomes by using the situation as teaching base learning among second-year nursing students at a private university in Buriram province. Samples were 133 nursing students in the 2017 academic year selected through purposive sampling method. Research instrument was a questionnaire containing a personal information section, knowledge section with reliability of 0.87, attitude section with reliability of 0.98 and satisfaction section with reliability of 0.99.
Results showed that the highest knowledge level was high-risk medication. High alert drug was written in the MAR card and the bottle of medication before every preparation (100%). The highest attitude score was showing respectful behavior (=4.78, SD=0.56) and the highest satisfaction score was on their instructors advising and demonstrating clearly so they could understand (
=4.62, SD=0.65). It was found that learning support had a moderate positive relationship with their influencer who were nurses (r=0.34, p<0.01), and attitude had a significant positive relationship with satisfaction at a high level (r=0.96, p<0.01).
